Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of the J&E Sheet Metal website and any enquiry sent to us through it. By using the site, you agree to the conditions below and to any written quotation or agreement issued by the business.

Website use and accepted conduct

This website is operated for J&E Sheet Metal, based in Gouriqua Park, Mossel Bay, by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd on behalf of the business. The site is provided for general information about our sheet metal and steel-building services in Mossel Bay, Hartenbos, Great Brak River, George, Wilderness and Sedgefield.

You may browse the site and send an enquiry for lawful purposes only. You must not use the site in a way that damages it, interferes with access, or sends false, abusive or unlawful material. We may suspend access where needed to protect the site or our records.

Enquiries, quotations and pricing

Any price shown on the site is for guidance only unless we confirm it in writing. Final pricing for cladding, gutters, flashings, carports, steel structures, roof leak repairs and related work depends on site conditions, access, quantities, material thickness, fixing method and transport to the job site.

  • All quotations are based on the information available at the time.
  • Changes to measurements, drawings, access or scope may affect the final cost.
  • A written quotation or order confirmation will set out the agreed work where applicable.

If you ask us to visit site and assess the job, we may charge for call-outs, measuring or estimating where this has been agreed in advance.

Measurements, site conditions and customer responsibility

Our work often depends on accurate site measurement and proper preparation. If you provide drawings, dimensions or specifications, you are responsible for ensuring that they are correct and current. Where we do the measuring ourselves, we will use reasonable care, but hidden defects, uneven structures, water damage or previous repairs can affect the result.

You must make sure that the work area is accessible and safe, and that any required permissions from a body corporate, municipality or landowner have been obtained. If a site in Mossel Bay or the southern Cape has coastal corrosion, load-shedding delays or weather-related access limits, timing may shift accordingly.

  • Keep vehicles, pets and loose items clear of the work area.
  • Provide safe access to roofs, walls and storage points.
  • Tell us about asbestos, live wiring, weak structures or underground services before work starts.

Workmanship, materials and maintenance

We supply and install sheet metal and steel products suitable for the agreed application. In coastal areas, material choice and coating need to suit salt air and wind exposure, and regular maintenance may be necessary to prevent early wear. If maintenance inspections, gutter replacement or roof leak repairs are requested later, those services will be quoted separately unless included in writing.

Any maintenance advice we provide is based on the information available at the time. You remain responsible for routine upkeep after handover, including cleaning gutters, checking fixings and reporting leaks or movement without delay. Minor colour variation or surface marking can occur between batches or due to handling, and this is not usually treated as a defect.

Copyright and use of site content

All text, photographs, layouts, drawings and other material on this website are owned by or licensed to J&E Sheet Metal unless stated otherwise. You may view the content for personal or business reference, but you may not copy, publish, alter or reuse it for commercial purposes without written permission.

  • Do not reproduce our photos, job notes or written content without consent.
  • Do not remove any notice showing ownership or source.
  • Any trade marks, names or logos belonging to others remain the property of their owners.

If you send us images, plans or notes with your enquiry, you confirm that you have the right to share them and that we may use them to prepare a quotation or carry out the work.

Liability limits and legal jurisdiction

We take reasonable care in the operation of this website and in the work we carry out, but we do not accept responsibility for losses caused by incorrect information supplied by a customer, delays outside our control, power interruptions, severe weather, municipal restrictions or third-party actions. Nothing in these terms limits liability where South African law says it cannot be limited.

The terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from use of the site or from our services will be handled in the competent South African courts or through another lawful process agreed in writing. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the remaining parts will still apply.
