What guest lodges usually need on a coastal site
A lodge has to look neat from the first check in and still drain properly after a hard winter storm. Near Mossel Bay, Hartenbos and Great Brak River, salt air works into weak joins, while wind drives rain under roof edges and around balconies. The usual fix is not one item but a small system that keeps water moving away from rooms, walkways and parking bays.
For most guest lodges we start with a site measure and look at roof pitch, overflow points, entrances, laundry blocks and the areas where guests walk with luggage. That tells us where to fit custom flashings, where gutters need larger downpipes and where a canopy will keep people dry without blocking natural light. It also helps avoid later problems like damp walls, water marks on ceilings and slippery paving at the front door.
- Roof edge and ridge flashings made to size
- Box gutters or half round gutters sized for the roof area
- Entrance canopies over reception, steps and walkways
- Light steel frames for service covers or small shelters
- Cladding around laundries, plant rooms and bin areas
Send a short note with your site, sizes and timing and we come back within one working day.
